Match Play Tournament Rules

Entry Fee:

$25.00 for entry.

 

​Format: 

FOUR FLIGHTS - A, B, C, D

​

This is a Net (100% handicapped) Match Play competition.​

 

Strokes are given equal to difference between the players MOST CURRENT course handicaps. These strokes fall on individual holes per handicap rating on the scorecard. 

 

PLEASE EMAIL BFRMCMAIL@GMAIL.COM AT LEAST 24 HOURS BEFORE YOUR MATCH SO A CARD WITH STROKE HOLES BASED ON CURRENT HANDICAPS CAN BE AVAILABLE AT THE PRO SHOP.​

 

AT THE COMPLETION OF FLIGHT PLAY - Winners of the 4 flights will compete to crown a CHAMPION: Flight A will play Flight B; Flight C will play Flight D.​

 

The Golf:

PLEASE TURN YOUR SCORECARD INTO THE BOX IN THE MEN’S CLUB LOCKER ROOM AFTER YOUR ROUND.

ALL MATCHES WILL BE PLAYED FROM THE BLUE TEES OR WHITE TEES BASED ON THE PLAYERS NORMAL TEES DURING MEN’S CLUB TOURNAMENTS WITH NET SCORING AT 100%.

All matches are to be played on agreed upon date and time by both participants from the Blue tees or White tees on the White & Blue Nines; both players must agree to use other course configurations (tees and nines). 

 

Players are to ALWAYS use their CURRENT home course handicap at the time of the match and players are responsible to determine handicaps prior to start of each match. All matches are to be played at BFR. Play is preferred during the week or on the Saturday. 

 

If both player are unable to play their Match during the week or on a Saturday prior to the Round Deadline, then play is allowed on Sunday, during the Men’s Club Tournament.  ALL PUTTS MUST BE HOLED OUT DURING A SUNDAY MATCH IN ORDER FOR SCORE TO COUNT FOR THE MEN’S CLUB TOURNAMENT.  Putts may be given for the match.

 

SUDDEN DEATH - If matches are not completed in 18 holes, players will proceed to Hole #1 on the Blue Course to start a sudden death tiebreaker. Handicap strokes will continue to apply as before on the Blue Course.

*Note - The Tournament Committee will adjust prize money payouts as necessary.

 

Additional Guidelines

  1. This tournament is self-funded. All entrants are required to pay $25 to sign up

  2. Participants are to make contact with their opponent to set up their match.

  3. If participants cannot complete their match by the deadline or as otherwise requested, the Tournament Committee will determine the default winner or declare a double forfeit or subsequent disqualification of both participants upon review of both players communication to schedule the Match.

  4. Any and all decisions made by the Tournament Committee are FINAL.
